The aim of lesson: It is aimed to understand the cooling systems, working principles, problems, maintenance of water, helium and liquid nitrogen cooling systems and where and how they are used in the accelerator system.
Course Content: Information on refrigeration systems, basic concepts, thermodynamic laws, pressure and enthalpy diagrams, operating principles of refrigeration systems, basic mechanical refrigeration cycles, refrigerant and oils, refrigeration circuit auxiliary elements, compression refrigeration cycle analysis, high pressure systems, heat load calculation, compressors used in refrigeration, expansion devices, condensers and evaporators will be discussed. In the courses, cooling systems at liquid nitrogen and liquid helium temperature levels will be examined practically in the accelerator facility.
