That’s a wrap on 2025!

This has been a record-breaking year for ATLAS and CERN‘s Large Hadron Collider. From pushing limits with proton collisions to exploring new beams, this year set multiple milestones in high-energy physics. Here’s a look back at the highlights:

🔹 125 fb⁻¹ of proton-proton collisions delivered to ATLAS, setting a new single-year record

🔹 LHC enters the attobarn era: 1 ab⁻¹ of proton-proton collisions delivered to ATLAS and CMS

🔹 2.9 nb⁻¹ of lead-lead collisions delivered to ATLAS, another single-year milestone

🔹 First-ever oxygen and neon collisions at the LHC

Congratulations to all the accelerator and experiment operations teams who made these records possible. Onward to 2026!
